Hi I’m going to write a bit about my first experience at Bodog Poker as a naturally underdog, underdog I know you all love to play. I play at Bodog Poker everyday and since the time I started playing they have never made a better bonus offer ANYTHING. Last week I got on the first plane out of Vegas to play with them, I had about $600 in about 3 hours. I haven’t had a problem paying for gambling the last few years, it’s just that starting playing online poker, you also can’t pick your “lucky” casino, which is generally a casinowhere all your friends play. Bodog just happens to be one of the most popular casinos on the net so it’s hard for other online casinos to compete with them.
After I was done with my gambling, I had $900 in my pocket. I usually always play $1 sit and go’s but I decided on this sit and go that I would play $2 sit and go’s. This meant that I had to buy into the tournament at the same $1 I would have to pay to buy in to a single sit and go. This may seem like a bit of a coward move, but if you have any experience playing texas holdem cash games, sit and go’s, especially multi-table sit and go’s, should not be difficult. They have many bad beats and you will have to play smart if you want to finish in the money more often than not.
There are a few notes you have to make when playing sit and go’s. When you are playing a 6 or 7 seater, you should usually play tight. This may early on in the tournament, the blinds are low and you don’t want to risk the chance of only losing a few chips. As the blinds rise, you should loosen up a bit but still be cautious. Should you actually reach the top 2, it is then time to play aggressive. You would want to play some hands like 5-7 offsuit but you should fold most of them. You also have to play hands that are not too good to play but can hit big raises with. These hands include holdings like 5-8 offsuit, 7-10 offsuit, K-Q suited, and of course other paint cards.
Another extremely important thing to note is that when you are the chip leader, you should not be in a hurry to double up your stack. Remember that you are nearly up and you can only win your money that you would have played anyway. If you lose all of your chips in 3 hands, you lose the money you wagered and you can never get it back even if you have the best hand. It is such a great feeling to dominate your opponents in a tournament, but ruin your own chances by losing all your chips too early.
Oh, and never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose. That is a good tip for sure, but also a good reminder to always read the instructions you have come to win. You may want to lose all your money to your poker software, but remember that you can always go back later and still make good use of your bonus.
Anyway, that is all I’m saying for now. That’s about all I have to say for now. That is all I claim to have to say in regards to sit and go strategy, at least as long as you understand the most basic. If you wish to learn more about slots, there are many books online that cover a lot of the commonly discussed points. Aside from strategy, reading more than one book is a great idea as it will allow you to approach the games in a fresh, professional way.
